_Under the surface of Nordic crime novels

This spring, both Amsterdam and Ghent offer a great opportunity to meet the most cold blooded crime authors of the Nordic countries. In the Netherlands, the Maand van het Spannende Boek event dedicates a whole evening to the Nordic authors in Melkweg. The Power of Plots event tries to reveal the mystery of the great success of the Nordic crime literature. Participants include Matti Rönkä from Finland, Roslund&Hellström and Jens Lapidus form Sweden, Jo Nesbø from Norway - just to name a few. The event takes place on June 1 and the interviews are held in English.

The hunt for the key to the mystery of success continues on June 3 in Belgium as the Nordic Crime Night event is held in the cultural centre Vooruit in Ghent. The authors are given a chance to speak and analyze the success of Nordic crime literature. The participants Matti Rönkä, Roslund&Hellström, Unni Lindell from Norway and Leif Davidsen from Denmark will be taking turns in describing the unique character of Nordic crime novels and their own work. The idea of LIFE has a firm base on Sistonen´s own life in which she sees a contradiction between the hunger for new experiences and the appreciation for nostalgia and ancient traditions. Astor Piazzola´s music has been an inspiration for this choreography which Sistonen herself performs in Luxembourg. The dance is accompanied by Aconcagu quintet. _Read more here.
